“I joined just to pass time — now I run a small business that takes care of my needs.” – Irene Achieng Odhiambo, Kisumu County
“After finishing high school, I stayed home for over a year with no hope of continuing my education. I joined the course just to keep busy — but I ended up gaining so much. I especially loved the bakery and entrepreneurship lessons. Before the course even ended, I borrowed Sh.500 from a relative and started baking cakes and making samosas using a charcoal burner. I now sell them at a nearby shopping center and earn Sh.100 profit daily. It may seem small, but it has made a big difference — I can now take care of my personal needs and feel proud of myself.”
