“I used to depend on relatives — now I can take care of myself and help others too.” – Gertrudelucy Amondi Aluoch, Kisumu County
“This course has been amazing. I learnt how to manage time, develop self-discipline, bake, manage a kitchen, and create a business plan. I also gained leadership and mentoring skills — and I’m now using them to support people in my community. Before the course, I relied on relatives for everything. But halfway through, I borrowed Sh.4,000 from my sister and started selling eggs. I now earn a weekly profit of Sh.400. It may seem small, but I’m proud that I can buy basic things like sanitary towels, airtime, and bus fare to class without asking anyone for help. That independence means everything to me.”
